PARRANO IS BACK!

Ok admittedly some of you are not reading this because you jumped in the car as soon as you saw the picture. For those who don’t know what the fuss is about, Parrano was our best-selling cheese for the first ten or twelve years we were here. Then it disappeared—and yet to this day people still ask for it. It has a flavor all its own, kind of an earthy/nutty/cheddar-gouda-hintofparmesan thing. It pairs really well with the Marcona almonds. And we can’t wait to get reacquainted.

Boss’s New Favorite

Nothing has ever been my favorite for this long. Roast turkey, jalapeno havarti, cucumber, red onion, mayo, and fresh-ground salt and pepper on rustic sourdough. Doesn’t sound all that crazy, but the key to this sandwich is the fact that we grill the bread “inside-out”—for a nice crunch without the gum-gouging. You’ll see!
