Tuesday 4/21: Kaila Kuhn coming to LSM today!
We don’t know how much time she has, but she’s planning to be here around noon for pictures, autographs, and we’re guessing maybe one of her favorite sandwiches (see below). Come say hi!
Introducing our newest sandwich: “Kaila Kuhn’s bFFF”
Boyne City’s own Kaila Kuhn earned Olympic gold this year in Mixed Team Aerials. Her favorite build-your-own sandwich is now officially on the menu, and it flew out of here on its first full day at a rate of two to one over our usual bestseller! It’s a delicious combination of roast turkey, applewood-smoked bacon, provolone, avocado, and mayo on a baguette. And while we’d love to say the letters stand for Best Fabulous Friends Forever, they actually refer to the Back-Full-Full-Full, the trick she did to help win gold. “bFFF” is how it’s abbreviated in the aerials world. I feel SO tangentially cool now. And athletic! ;-)

We made this in honor of Willie Nile, who paid it such a high complement last time he was here that we wrote it down (but won’t repeat it). Willie played at Freshwater again on Saturday. Such fun!

There are some extra-cool goods in there this time, including a set of notebooks specifically for lefties and an unabridged copy of The Maltese Falcon reproduced in the “Armed Services Edition” style of the 1940s. Great stocking stuffers!

There’s a lot to be said for shutting the screens down and letting our brains have some analog time. Blackwing, a brand once indispensable to makers and artists of all stripes, has made a huge comeback in recent years. Come check out our selection!
