Q. Who ARE these people?
The wackos who own this place are Liz Glass and Chris Meyer, two native Michiganians who met working at a wine bar in Hilton Head, SC.  (Sidebar:  if you're trying to track down a person who once majored in English anywhere in Michigan, chances are he or she has turned up in Hilton Head as a "Food and Beverage Professional.")  Chris was also running a very successful deli during this time, and had previously been food and beverage director for a couple of five-star resorts.  Liz went from managing the wine bar to selling wine wholesale and then retail.  So these credentialed winos decided to stop working for others -- too many hours for not enough money, a notion they currently find ironic but not yet hilarious -- and come back home.

Lake Street Market is on the west side of Lake Street, just south of Main.

Lake Street Market is on the west side of Lake Street, two doors south of Main Street, across from CindiFranco's Coolstuff.  Main Street is two blocks south of Water Street, which it turns out is actually THE main street in Boyne City's Central Business District.  Are you with me?
